My first Post

Basically this is just me trying to figure out how to work the whole blog dealy! For those of you who are wondering, I created this blog to keep a kind of running tab on my experiences and adventures once I get to Zambia. I have no idea how often I will be able to update it, but if you are wondering what life is like there, please check this blog page every so often!
I am leaving the US on Jan 23rd, 2007 and will be in Zambia until March 2009!
To friends and family: I will miss you all very very much. Please keep in touch and send me letters and pictures. You all mean the world to me.
To Mommy: I love you, thanks for being there for me and being so supportive. You are such a good friend to me and I couldn't ask for a better person to have raised me and loved me.
To Hunter: Don't let jason and bandit bully you around too much. Please don't jump any fences and try really hard not to get fleas. I love you cutie pie!

That is all for now, lets see how it looks!

Well this is Mommie, and I just have to say this might be the hardest thing I have supported you in. lol. I have admired your abilities to push yourself for 22 years, always pursuing the impossible dream, that was really always possible. I know my faith in God will be tested as I learn to totally trust and believe you are in His care. I am proud of you and know through the many rough days ahead of you, that you will keep on, keeping on.
I love you Tamra... mom

Hi Tamra, Just got home from breckenridge skiing. Was great and thought of you often. Ken Rock said you had taken him down the "Ore Bucket" and told me about it. Don't think you will see snow for awhile. Oh well I took a run for you.Ha. Have been think about you very often and wondering what you are doing and experiencing each moment. Miss you and pray for you. Love Grandpa B

Been watching webcam in Hoedspruit that shows a watering hole. Lauren hasn't gotten to see the animals yet...she'll probably want you to adopt one. Erin, Clayton, and Lauren say "hi". Love you! Marshan

Tamra, I am so proud of you! I know you will make the most of this experience because that is the way you live your life. You have been my dearest friend for 12 years now and I cherish every memory. I can't wait to get more updates on what you are doing! Love ya

Tammy, we (Christi, Tess, and I) miss you! Tess misses Hunter as well, but we think of you a lot. Glad you're spreading God's love over there but we look forward to having you near us again. The next time you're home, there will be one more little Doney for you to meet, and I guarantee she'll know all about her "crazy cool cuz," before she ever gets to see you! God bless you Tamara, We love you, J. R.

ps - we will be sending pics soon!

I am running Windows XP SP3 and am connected to the internet through a Comcast modem and Belkin router. It says my internet connection is excellent and this problem does not occur on the other laptop in the house. I have tried many things and there are no viruses or firewall problems. I decided to run IE's diagnostic thing. It said there was some problem, that I was told could be solved by using Winsock XP Fix (because whenever IE tried to fix it, it claimed it fixed it and to restart my computer, but then when I would restart, the problem would still occur and be detected). After using Winsock XP Fix, the problem stopped for a few hours, but is now back again and this program does not solve it anymore. Any help is appreciated, thank you.
